Custom Design – We offer expert custom design services, with various designers on staff every day. Custom design is a creative and exciting endeavor; We guide you through the process with care and confidence! Design – We provide FREE design consultation and drawing services. A designer can discuss design with you, and get a sense for the styles or details you would like to see in a piece. Then, we create multiple sketches accompanied by final price estimates. It’s a great way to begin the process and develop a visual to grow from. Wax or Build - Once a design has been chosen, there are two ways that we proceed. One way is to carve a wax of the design. The wax is actually used to produce the final product, so it is exactly the size and shaping of the final piece. Waxes are created for more intricate designs, and add about two extra weeks to creation time. You can view the wax and get a good sense of the final product. Simple styles that can be assembled from metal will be ‘built’. This means that no wax will be provided. Designs that can be built are better off being created that way. Often it is more cost-effective for the customer, and provides greater chance of the quality being up to standards, as well as the piece being created more quickly. Depending on the design, and your preferences, we can determine which creation method is best. Final Touches – Once a wax is cast in metal, it still looks far from finished. A rough casting can have sharp edges, and is dull and rough. The casting must be filed and polished with a variety of tools, until it is the bright shiny finish we desire. Separate parts must then be assembled by one of our skilled jewelers. Once all of the metal is fully assembled, the stones can be set, and final textures can be applied. Finished Product – When the final stones are set, all pieces are given a final look over, stamped with our logo, and often signed by the designers. Our favorite part of the process is when the customer finally sees it and beams with excitement!
